My Top 10 & Bottom 10...
Superbowl Commercials!
Alright, the Superbowl game had an exciting finish, but let's face it, although it was a decent game, it really wasn't what we expected when we found out these two tough teams were playing each other. That being said, we still have the commercials. Hmmm, watching the commercials this year made me think that millions of dollars just doesn't buy you much these days.

There were a couple decent ones, but nothing like in years past. In fact, I think these were the worse set of Superbowl commercials in a long time. Boring and drawn out. What happened to funny? How many had music that sounded like it was droning on and on. I think I woke up during one thinking, is Christina still singing the Anthem? By the way, how many Sci-fi movies are coming out this summer? Well, despite the commercial let down, there still had to be at least 10 that I can select as my favorites.

Below are my Top 10 favorite and least favorite of this year's Superbowl commercials:

My Top 10 Favorite...

10. Snickers Bar - It was decent with Richard Lewis, but seeing Roseanne Barr getting whacked got this one on the list!
9. GoDaddy.com - Introducing Joan Rivers as the new GoDaddy girl was hilarious and yet very scary. She was old back, like what, 100 years ago?
8. Volkswagon - A young Darth Vader was very cute!
7. Goupon.com - Using named actors that sounded like serious spots ending goofy was a nice change of pace.
6. Doritos - I know the finger sucking dude was really strange, but that was really funny. Sniffing the guy's pants would have been funnier had he just bent over and sniffed instead of ripping them of the guy.
5. Pepsi - First date with her wondering if he's the one and he's thinking, well, ummm not the same as her.
4. NFL - Using clips from many of the sitcoms us "old" folks grew up watching made me feel as young as, oh the Darth Vader kid perhaps?
3. House (TV Show) - Parody of the old Coke and Mean Joe Greene commercial where instead of the Coke, the kid offered a churro, only to have Dr. House use his sarcastic quip to downgrade the kid. Then instead of tossing his jersey, he tosses his cane only to smack the kid in the head. Classic!
2. Best Buy - I know many "so-called experts" did not like the whole use of Ozzy Osborne and not knowing technology, but this was hilarious! Ozzy lost in the background ruining the shot, or "What's a Bieber?" and "Looks like a girl" was very funny. Again, funny is good!
My Favorite... 1. Audi - Butlers breaking free in a James Bond mode only to be tamed by... Kenny G and his music! That is hilarious! Many critics put down the idea, but I thought it was stereotypcally creative, funny and parody done in a well thought out way. Kudos!

My Top 10 Least Favorite...

Honorable Mention. Jack in the Box - An All-"American" burger with two patties? If that represents "America" then no wonder we're an obese country.
10. Pepsi - Nerd gets even with flying Pepsi cans. It was funnier when the female jogger got the same result.
9. Mercedes Benz - With P. Diddy (is that the name he is using this year?). ZZZZZZZZ boring and just dumb!
8. Motorola - "Thumbs" down to this took-to-long to develop commercial.
7. Stella Artoise - What song was more drawn out, this one or the National Anthem?
6. Livingsocial.com - Tough guy transforms into wearing a dress that wasn't funny. Besides the softening of men was done better in the western tough guy commercial where the tough guys broke into Elton John's song "Tiny Dancer" for Bud Lite.
5. Chevy - Really? Do we need a car that can give us "real time" Facebook updates? Are we that impatient that we can't wait til we get home? What if her message was "worst first date ever?" Would he have driven off the bridge? Or crashed and killed my family? Just a thought....
4. Bud Lite - Product placement in the 3 Musketeer movie for free Bud Lite was too long and too dumb and too boring and too.... well, you get the message.
3. Coke - The cartoon with the dragon isn't worth my time writing about.
2. Coke - Two enemies pacing back and forth - alone to boring music. Really, Coke actually made another commercial worse that their dragon? BORING! Remember when Coke "used to" have good commercials?
My Least Favorite... 1. Motorola - Their attempt to copy Apple's 1984 technology commercial with all the people dressed the same, except for one guy that has the smarts and creativity to be different, just took way too long to materialize. In fact, did it really materialize? I actually turned back to Christina and the Anthem.
